COVID-19 Client Protocols

At Mud Creek Veterinary, the health and safety of our clients, our staff and our community are our top priorities. Based on recent recommendations of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), effective immediately, we have implemented new client protocols.

In order to continue offering our services and to keep within the recommendations and guidelines set by the CDC and WHO regarding the transmission of COVID-19, we are making the following changes to our client protocol today and lasting for as long as the recommendations are in place.

1. No more than 10 people inside the building at a time, the clinic staff is included in the number. In order to comply with this rule, you may be asked to wait in your vehicle until we can help you.

2. In order to comply with the 6ft social distancing rule, we kindly ask that you do not enter the exam room.

3. If you are feeling ill or showing any signs associated with COVID-19 (cough, fever, etc) or have knowingly been in contact with someone who has tested positive with COVID-19, we ask that you do not enter the building and reschedule your appt.

If you prefer not to come into the building for your health, you may stay in your vehicle and call the office to let us know you are outside and a staff member will come to you. 256-805-0123

Mud Creek Veterinary Services is a mixed animal veterinary practice that serves the needs of small animal pet owners as well as large animal and livestock owners in Hollywood, Alabama and the surrounding communities in Northeast Alabama and Southeast Tennessee. Our versatile facility at Mud Creek Veterinary Services supports both large and small animals with treatment options such as dental care, digital radiography, emergency services, heartworm testing, hospice/euthanasia, in-clinic diagnostics, intensive care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, pain management, reproductive services, surgery, ultrasound, wellness visits, and more.

Dr. Scott Elliott and our friendly, caring staff are committed to providing high quality comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care for all pets in the rural communities of Jackson and Dekalb counties, no matter their size. We focus on client education to ensure that you have all the knowledge you need to keep your pet happy and healthy for years to come. When necessary, Dr. Elliott will make farm visits for large animals by appointment only.
